2024...Thank You For Enough

"Gratitude turns what we have into enough." - Author Unknown
For the last four years I have spoken ad nauseam about gratitude. And perhaps it is because affliction knocked on our door four and a half years ago and has been a constant heavy presence in our life. How do you deal with that unwanted visitor who pulls up a chair and settles in, constantly trying to spread her dark cloak over you and smother your light? Gratitude. Gratitude shines her light and reminds you there is beauty in what you have, in enough, in the here and now, in the smallest things we often overlook in our never ending search for more. And so as we end this year, gratitude takes center stage as she closes the curtain on affliction and gracefully bows as she sits and recounts the blessings.
The thought that I have been able to have this small business year after year where I use my hands to orchestrate gems into beautiful pieces for you is still something that is hard to fathom. Having a place I walk into each day which embraces me with her glimmering gems and soothing colors in anticipation of what will be created is something I often need to pinch myself over. Being able to slowly expand into new avenues of business- such as pre owned pieces this year- which so many of you celebrated and supported, helped diversify and grow my business just a little.
As I take stock of the collections designed this year, I’m grateful in seeing the evolution of my style and designs. Many times the worry of creativity drying up or of not being able to produce new designs is lurking behind you. Yet, with each collection you have closed the doors on those thoughts. I am reminded creativity is something that flourishes the more it is used and I am grateful to God for the ability to use it in this way.
As the curtain closes for 2024, there are no big resolutions or plans for the coming year. The only thing I continue to hope and pray for is enough. Enough work to continue to relish the moments and people that truly matter. To celebrate every win no matter how small. To take time for myself to breathe, to rest, to refuel my creativity so I can continue to give you the best of what I have to offer. To continue to be present and focus on what matters most- my faith and my familia. And with every passing day and challenge that will undoubtedly come, may gratitude be the only one that pulls up a chair and settles in.
